Christmas Bats Table Runner

Christmas Bats Table Runner

This holly fabric has been waiting in my stash for just the right table runner pattern. I came across the easiest method for making one in a tutorial from Alanda Craft. I followed the “10 Minute Table Runner” tutorial details and added my own flair.

The plaid fabric is flannel. The holly is embroidered woven/cotten fabric I found as a remnant. Both are from Joann. The lace came on my witch hat. I used a scrap of fabric to create the bat appliqués and did the same for the holly I added to the bats.

Crow's Nest Bird Bath

Crow's Nest Bird Bath

Here is the bird bath version we made (same type of build as the fire pit). I painted the crow/skull to give it more definition and David painted the fingers/ear.

There are solar twinkle lights wrapped around the wreath. The decoration ties to the bird bath, allowing it to be removed so the bird bath can be used year-round if desired.

It is all held together with spray foam and sealed with Gorilla Waterproofing.

Gory Burn Pit

The latest prop we made for our outdoor Halloween decor is this burn pit. It has red solar twinkle lights to give it that smoldering look at night. Painting the bones took the most time to do. After that it all went together pretty easily.

Cut cardboard to fit your object/stand.
Seal cardboard w/Gorilla Waterproofing.
Attach ties (we used wire on the underside.
Spray canned foam all over cardboard.
Add lights to wet foam & let harden.
Spray more foam - add bones & sticks.
When hardened, spray paint red splotches.
Spray paint the rest black.
Attach to your object/stand.

Beetlejuice Shirt Iron On

Beetlejuice Shirt Iron On

We decided on this rare occasion to go see Beetlejuice 3 in the quaint little theater in our town. It is so close to home we actually walked there. But I digress... I found this awesome iron-on and added it to a t-shirt so I would have a top to go with the Beetlejuice Payton Shorts I made in 2020. I later found the iron on that I added to the back of this shirt!
